This event showcases the work of Architecture PhD candidates working across the fields of architecture, landscape studies, digital media, and SMART Urban design. PhD candidates will present their work in an open discussion around themes of Healthcare (Ademola Akinbami and Ricky Burke); Sustainability (Michael Cassidy and Adam Guy); Smart Cities (Shadab Bahreini and Carlos Garcia Paka) and; Rivers (Zoe Latham and Sally Sutton). The PhD symposium concludes with a presentation at 15:00 by Professor Jerry Till, Central Saint Martins in London entitled 'Architectural Research in the face of Climate and Racial Injustice.' Professor Till's talk will be followed by a conversation with the PhD candidates and attendees. All are welcome online via Zoom.
