Entry requirements

To achieve the National Award you must have QTS/QTLS/EYTS and are likely to be working as a SENCo or deputy SENCo. School staff in the role of SENCo will have completed an
induction period (please note that those with EYTS will become
qualified as a SENCo to work only in the early years). If
you do not meet these conditions it may be possible for you to achieve
the PgCert Inclusive Education instead (60 masters level credits). For
SENCos new to the role, it is mandatory to achieve the award within three
years of appointment.

The minimum IELTS
score for acceptable English proficiency for entry is 6.5 overall (with 5.5 in each element), or equivalent.
