Entry requirements
Registered Adult Nurse, Part 1 NMC registrant, relevant degree BSc or above usually with 2:1 or above. 
Enhanced DBS and OH clearance is also mandatory, along with two satisfactory references and evidence of relevant clinical experience and recent study (within the last 10 years).
Applicants meeting academic requirements will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview.
Potential students applying through UCAS should demonstrate: 
A strong GCSE profile of 5 GCSE’s at level 4 (grade C) or above, including English, Mathematics and Science.
Evidence of recent study (within the last 10 years).
Relevant clinical experience.
Registered Adult Nurse, Part 1 NMC registrant, relevant degree BSc or above usually with 2:1 or above.
Enhanced DBS and Occupational Health clearance is also mandatory, along with two satisfactory references and evidence of relevant clinical experience and recent study (within the last 10 years).
Student selection is via UCAS and includes:
  • A personal statement demonstrating an understanding of the role of the midwife 
  • References
  • Confirmation of academic attainment
Applicants are initially screened to ensure they have the required academic qualifications. Registration on the Adult Nursing part of the NMC register is also confirmed. All eligible applicants will undertake a face-to-face interview with members of the programme team and clinical partners.
