Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Industry
As well as improving the business environment for Plymouth and the South West Peninsula, the Plymouth Chamber enables members to benefit from being part of a proactive business organisation.
Using the Plymouth local economic strategy as a guide, Plymouth Chamber strives to promote member interests, leveraging influence where appropriate as the independent voice of local business, to represent member views and priorities in relation to the local economy and to work in partnership with the community. The Chamber also runs an active programme of events and training to provide opportunities for members of all sizes and in all industry sectors.
Plymouth Junior Chamber
Appealing to those in business or education aged between 16 and 35, the Plymouth Junior Chamber offers a calendar of events and training tailored to early career and workplace development. All Plymouth Chamber member employees who sit within this age range receive automatic membership to the Junior Chamber.
The University has a close working relationship with Plymouth Chamber and regularly takes part in events and conversations around city development. Through Plymouth Business School, we've a formal partnership agreement with the Junior Chamber. As a Plymouth student, this agreement offers you access to member benefits, including valuable networking and skills opportunities, during your studies.

Plymouth University is a founding partner of GAIN, the Growth Acceleration and Investment Network, which works alongside Plymouth Chamber and various other key partners to deliver outcomes linked to the Plymouth and South West Peninsula City Deal.
GAIN will provide improved business support coordination across Plymouth and the peninsula through specific initiatives that will deliver impressive growth, including support for 10,000 businesses and the creation of more than 400 jobs in the region.
