South West Public Transport Information (SWPTI Ltd)

The company - In 1999 the government established a multi-modal national public transport information service branded as Traveline. South West Public Transport Information (SWPTI Ltd) trading as Traveline South West is a not for profit organisation implementing and operating the national public transport information service across the South West as a managed service.

Project aim - To develop and commercialise a dynamic transport information portal that increases public transport usage and embeds new media expertise and market understanding within SWPTI.

Project length – 18 months.

Fairford Electronics

The company - Established in 1982, Fairford Electronics designs and manufactures electronic motor control equipment for the industrial automation market.

Project aim – To evaluate the requirements of different markets, developing a power electronic energy-saving device using innovative technology that could be incorporated into other products.

Project length – 18 months.

Western Commodities

The company – Western Commodities are independent commodity importers of dried fruits and edible nuts.

Project aim – To have a thorough understanding of the substantiated properties of date and to identify new product ranges that will move the company into new markets.

Project length – 40 weeks.

Fowey Harbour Commission

The company – Fowey Harbour is a trust port - an independent statutory body controlled by an elected board and without shareholders or owners. Facilities include moorings, boat park, public slipways, ship repair year and a 24-hour pilotage service to control navigation by large vessels within the port.

Project aim – To establish and deliver a business development and diversification strategy for the port of Fowey, proactively managing resources for commercial and societal benefit.

Project length – 24 months.

Spinnaker International Limited

The company – Established in 1985, Spinnaker International Ltd produces security produce for the Cash In Transit (CIT), retail and banking industry.

Project aim – To develop an innovative, automated method of stain detection.

Project length – 11 months.

The company – DM Orthotics Ltd is the market leader in the field of dynamic movement orthoses.

Project aim – To design sport-specific foot and ankle orthoses for runners and gymnasts.

Project length – 30 months.
