Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival
2–4 March 2018, Plymouth campus
With a national reputation for combining artistic creativity with scientific development, this year’s festival has the theme, ‘Decoding Life’, and will feature performances of exciting new works by researchers at the University alongside the world-renowned percussion group, Ensemble Bash.
The effect of drug-resistant pathogens on DNA proteins, the brain’s reactions during epileptic seizures, political debates around mental health, endangered crocodiles in India, and the seagulls that populate Britain’s coastlines are just some of the themes that have been woven into performances and work for the 12th staging of this annual event, organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research.
