Peninsula Medical School 10 Year Alumni Reunion

Peninsula Medical School 10 Year Alumni Reunion

Saturday 17 June - Sunday 18 June 2017

Plymouth

It is my pleasure, as the Dean, to invite alumni from the Class of 2007 to join us for a celebration to mark the tenth anniversary of the first graduation from Peninsula Medical School.

My team have organised this event because we felt that it was important to bring you, our first group of medical students, back together, to reunite you with your fellow alumni and staff from the School and to hear where your journey has taken you since graduation.

You are very welcome to attend only the elements of the programme which particularly appeal to you but we hope that you will come along to what promises to be a relaxed and informal celebration!

We look forward to welcoming you back to Plymouth.

Professor Rob Sneyd

Programme

Saturday 17 June 2017

14:00 - 17:00 John Bull Building

Join us for informal networking with a Devon cream tea and glass of wine. Professor Rob Sneyd will welcome you back to the University and say a few words to mark the occasion of ten years since the graduation of our first students at Peninsula Medical School. Professor Sir John Tooke will speak about the early days of Peninsula Medical School.

Then it is over to you to for the remainder of the afternoon, enjoy refreshments and an opportunity to catch up with your old University friends and former lecturers and to find out what they have been up to since you last got together!

Hotel details are included below, to make organising your visit as straightforward as possible.

19:30 – late The Dome

Our celebration continues with a black tie dinner at The Dome. Start the evening with a red carpet arrival comprised of a glass of bubbly and canapes. Enjoy a delicious four course dinner and an opportunity to continue the conversations which began during the afternoon, we know that you will have a lot to talk about!

After dinner there will be a cash bar and dancing into the evening. Although this is a black tie event the format is deliberately informal so that you are free to get up, move around and talk to each other.

Sunday 18 June 2017

11:00 – 12:00 The Barbican

On the Sunday morning there is a final opportunity to come back together. Join us for a family friendly boat trip at 11am departing from the Barbican Landing Stage, a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Plymouth and the surrounding coastline.

We hope that you and your families will join us for a laid back hour enjoying the scenery of Plymouth from a unique perspective to round off the celebrations.
