As part of the leadership team within IT, these roles will lead a function responsible for offering a range of IT services to the University, its staff, students and partners. Technology and Information Services (TIS) aims to deliver IT that works, increases digital capabilities for staff and students, and creates a seamless end-to-end digital experience for all our stakeholders. The role holders will be responsible for contributing to strategic business planning and delivering the services within the function, ensuring the right people, skills and ways of working are in place to meet objectives, working with colleagues across TIS to ensure that appropriate, structured processes are in place and that current and new IT services are effective and efficient.
In addition, the role holders will work with others across the University to ensure the services delivered remain fit for purpose and meet changing business needs, bring in knowledge from across the sector and industry to ensure the University continues to develop, and deliver a high-quality digital experience in line with strategic aims and business plans.
A9006 – Information Security Manager
The Information Security Manager heads up the Information Security team. The team is responsible for managing information security risk, and supporting information security compliance and governance across the University by providing expert leadership and advice regarding all aspects of IT security.
A9007 – IT Service Operations Manager
The IT Service Operations Manager heads up the First Line, Second Line, End-user Compute and AV teams in IT Customer Services to deliver customer-focused support and services to staff across the University.
A9009 – Programme Manager
The Programme Manager will manage a significant IT-enabled programme of work to modernise the IT systems supporting the student journey such as Student Records, Management Information, Learning Environments or CRM systems.
