Foundation course in solution focused therapy (degree level)

Key features

This 20 credit degree-level module focuses on the theory and practice of contemporary Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) in healthcare provision and health enhancement in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical settings.

You will develop a wider, critical awareness of Solution Focused philosophy and skills, as well as lasting and sustainable skills in the use and delivery of Solution Focused Therapy.

Teaching will normally be delivered over six days through a mix of didactic presentation and group tutorials, over the course of the academic year.

Students will also complement this with additional personal study and through the systemic application of SFT to their practice.

This module can be studied as a standalone module or as an optional module towards some of our BSc (Hons) Professional Development pathways - please contact the Professional Development Unit for further information.
