Peninsula Research in Outdoor Learning (PRinOL)
This highly active research network is also based in LOFE. This network includes more than a hundred academics and practitioners and meets often with presentations ranging from international academics to local outdoor activities.
Sue Waite and Dr Rowena Passy led the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded network ‘Understanding educational and wellbeing implications of learning outside the classroom through cross-national collaboration’. Partners in this award were from Australia, Singapore and Denmark.
ESRC seminar series
Funded by an International Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy Dr Suanne Gibson has conducted research in UK, United States and New Zealand and developed an international network of researchers critically exploring issues of inclusion in Higher Education and developing ‘culturally responsive pedagogies.’
