REF 2014: HE Pedagogic Research and Impact

This project explores issues surrounding the submission and value of higher education (HE) pedagogic research within the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. Concerns have been voiced that the rules of submission for the REF (particularly around impact) may have skewed education submissions away from HE pedagogy. The research team explore with those involved in the submission of the Education Unit of Assessment, and other stakeholders, issues concerning inclusion of pedagogic research outputs and impact case studies; selection criteria; and impact of REF on pedagogic research more widely.
