Why join?
The best way to prepare for the real world is by facing real world challenges. Joining Enactus Plymouth means that you can get involved in, or lead a real life international or local project covering issues such as poverty, homelessness, poor education and unemployment.
Enterprising team impress judges at a national enterprise competition.
Six final year students from the University – Rhiannon Champion, Kasia Kowalska, Matthew Derbyshire, Jialu Li, Sonal Doshi and Saska Hayre – secured a place in the semi-finals in the annual Enactus nationals, a competition which encourages members to use entrepreneurial solutions to run projects.
The Plymouth team impressed the judges with their two local community projects, Plymouth Consultancy and EnHaktus, which offer business advice and training to young people, along with an international project, Sew Smart, working with a young person in Tanzania to start up her own dress making business. They won the Most Improved Team in the South West award, and are also the first from the University to make the nationals.
