Role
Ulrike is the R&I Business Partner to the Faculty of Health, Education & Society (HES) and supports any research and business development the Faculty is involved in.
She can help with specific funding schemes relevant to HES, such as NIHR, EAHC, LLP and various charities and brokers the faculty's research and commercial portfolio on its behalf.

Additionally Ulrike specialises in European funding schemes and can help with any European applications, such as FP7, R4SME, Interreg, Lifelong Learning Programme and others.

She is also Plymouth University's liaison to the South West European Partnership (SWEP) and its office in Brussels.
  

Qualifications & background
Ulrike has joined Plymouth University in January 2011 from the South West Regional Development Agency where she held the post of European Policy Manager and was responsible for the region's involvement with Brussels.

Before that she was a researcher at the Universities of Exeter, Bradford and Konstanz (Germany), where she worked on various European research projects in the area of EU direct taxation, governance, political economy and European studies.
