Teaching interests
I am interested in teaching around topics connected to social policy, with a particular focus on families, women and children; care and edcuation; relationships between adults and children, comparative research and methodology in general.

I have been teaching undergraduate modules with a focus: on research methodology and methods, Early Years Services for children and families, social policy, perception of children and risk, comparative cross-national research
On postgraduate level I can offer a module on care and a module on evaluation research.


I am supporting students on a number of modules of the International Master Programme.
  


Research interests
Currently I am working with Dr. Peter Kelly and Dr. Nick Pratt (University of Plymouth) and Dr. Hans Dorf (Denmark) on the international pilot study 'CATE' (comparing and analysing teacher expertise).

My interests are Family policy, Early years provision, work force in care and education, relationships within families and relationships between children and adults. Comparative research methods and reseach methodology in general.

I am interested in new approaches to learning in teaching, for example blending on-line provision with face-to-face delivery.
