Qualifications

Sue qualified as a physiotherapist in 1990, graduating from St Mary’s School of Physiotherapy. She has worked in a variety of exciting physiotherapy roles within a number of hospitals trusts in the UK developing her skills before becoming a senior physiotherapist in charge of a busy outpatient department.

She has international experience having worked as a physiotherapy clinical tutor for the University of Otago in New Zealand .

On her return to the UK she worked initially as a physiotherapy clinical link tutor for The University of the West of England before joining Plymouth University as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy in 2006.

Sue’s clinical background is musculoskeletal physiotherapy and she is involved in teaching related to this subject as well as being involved in a number of interprofessional modules. She is a keen member of the teaching team who work closely with students and clinicians to continue to develop the programme to deliver keen

She is part of the Physiotherapy Clinical team working with both students and educators to ensure a high standard of practice education.
