Grants & contracts
International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Project on 'Worker accident rates and safety practice in the global container ports industry: a comparative analysis of the practices and performance of Global Network Terminal Operators’. It involves research on port workers’ occupational health and safety standard in the global context. The total funding for this project is £75,000. Status: current.

Academic supervisor in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project no. KTP007028 sponsored by the Technology Strategy Board and had a total amount of grant worth £73, 454. The project was to assist Westland GeoProjects, which is a seismic survey company located in Bude, Cornwall, develop a Safety Management System to ensure that the company’s seismic survey operations comply with all maritime regulations and safety codes. I was the main contributor to ensure that the project complies with the current global maritime regulations and is feasible in practical terms. The final grade awarded to the project by KTP was ‘good’. Status: 2010 completed.
