Role
Main roles are finance, conference and travel bookings, monitoring study skill support provided by Disability ASSISt study support tutors, which are then invoiced to the relevant Funding Body. Logging receipt and distribution of dyslexia reports to students. Processing of the Teaching and Learning document (exam provision). Also provides admin support to Sue Fagin, Disability ASSIST Senior Administrator.
Has knowledge about the Disabled Student Allowance and support available at Plymouth University, therefore she’s also helped on Open Days and manned Disability ASSIST stand for campus events.
In addition to this, she is currenlty providing admin support to the PALS Project co-ordinated by Learning Development. This is a pilot peer assisted learning scheme called PALS@Plymouth which was lauched in September 2011. This project provides the opportunity to first year students to work informally with more experienced second and third year students of the same course. This group sessions help to reinforce first year students' learning.
Qualifications & background
