At UG level: Tourism Research Methods, Advanced Research Methods and Tourism Forecasting, Tourism and Crime, Dissertation Supervision.

At PG Level: Research Methods, Contemporary Issues in Tourism, Dissertation Supervision.

At HD level: Currently supervisor (jointly) four M.Phil/Ph.D candidates

 


Research interests

Research interests include tourism and crime and tourism research methods. Published research in the tourism and crime area including media representations of terrorist acts against tourists. More recently (with Sheela Agarwal) has been researching issues associated with social exclusion and crime in English seaside resorts.

2005- Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning – Higher Education Learning Partnerships (total bid £2million and £500k/yr for five years) within which is the establishment of a Tourism and Hospitality Curriculum Development Group (£22,000)
