Research interests

Arc Atlantic a European funded project which resulted in The Arc - electronic journal and virtual gallery launched in Vigo, Spain
A-baa  which explored sound and the internet  became a website and live audio installation at Camerawork Gallery in London
The work of Art… Website and CD-Rom launched at Camerawork gallery London and widely exhibited across the USA and South America as part of Contact Zones touring exhibition
The digital crowd project which resulted in numerous outcomes including the Agent Ethnographer developed in collaboration with Plymouth’s Centre for Neural and Adaptive Systems and launched as Chatroom IRL, a 24 hour live event in the Shoreditch Gallery in London
Sounding Dartmoor developed in collaboration with the composer and soundscape artist John Levack Drever which resulted in an Audio CD; website and sound installation exhibited at Spacex Gallery, Exeter and Bridport Arts Centre. The CD has been played on Radio 1 and Resonance FM. 

More Recent Projects
Working with psychology research staff, we explored the relationship between creativity and happiness which resulted in an AHRC bid:  In pursuit of human happiness: Tango dancing and the experience of Flow. 
The Virtual Pedometer working with psychology research staff this project involved exploration of the placebo effect of POV video on fitness and wellbeing
National Archive of Sonic Art  With Andrew Prior research into a sustainable on-line sound archive for Sonic Art – this came from the development of undergraduate programme Sonic Arts. 
Death Dying and Ritual in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team across sociology, psychology, Peninsula Medical School and myself from the Arts this project explored the potential benefits of creative reminiscence.
