Teaching interests Health Psychology Theory and History of Psychology Research interests
My research interests are expressed in the form of the questions I am currently addressing. 1. The non-specific mechanisms underlying all therapy including conventional therapies and complementary and alternative medicine. This research area includes placebo or contextual effects as well as therapist effects. 3. How can we improve the management of people with asthma and chronic obstructive disease? 4. How can we improve the management of people with non-specific illness (e.g., illness with no clear pathophysiology, such as chronic fatigue syndrome).
