Lee has worked as a music teacher and tutor for over 20 years, 15 of which have been spent teaching BA Music students at UOP. Lee has taught composition, music technology, professional development, performance, ethnomusicology and music theory at HE level.

In 2012 Lee invented a professional development program for the BA Music dept, which has become an important part of Plymouth's music education program. This was followed by the Junior Academy, a Junior BA Music program for young people that wish to study Music at the UOP.

Lee's insight into professional development activities within HE education allowed a career move in 2022 into the Industry Liaison role for the School of Society & Culture.
