Research interests
One of my main research interests is in the field of fisheries economics and management. Specifically, I have focused much of my work on the bioeconomic modelling of the interactions between marine reserves and fisheries. The results have indicated that marine reserves can be used as both conservation and fisheries management tools. I have a particular interest in applying my work to African and European fisheries.
A more recent research area of mine is in the application of ecological economic principles to achieving sustainable development.
