Role The Senior Careers Adviser is primarily responsible for leading and developing the team of careers advisers and assisting the Head of Employability in establishing the policies, service plan and prioritise of the service This includes responsibility for:- Careers workshops, careers interviews, eguidance and telephone advice Overseeing the successful embedding of careers education within faculties Ensuring the Careers and Employability Service is represented at appropriate university events, including induction and open days Providing accurate and up to date information and statistics relating to the work of the Careers and Employability Service Monitor the use of the Careers and Employability service including service evaluation Ensuring the service meets the appropriate quality standards, specifically the Matrix standards. Finally to undertake a reduced (50%) careers practitioner caseload of working directly with students and academics Qualifications & background BA (Hons) Modern History and Politics with Economics, University of Southampton Diploma in Careers Guidance (Part 1 & 2) , Kent College for the Careers Service The British Psychological Society Certificate of Competence at Level A and Intermediate Level B Myers Briggs Type Indicator trained Previous careers guidance experience in adult guidance and with Devon Careers Service. Professional membership Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS)
