Role I am currently carrying a number of roles in addition to that of Programme Director for Steiner Waldorf BA. I am responsible to the Faculty for the development of the new FdA in Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education and carry overall responsibility for the European Masters Programme.This entails a lot of travel to various European centres in addition to the day-to-day management of the BA. Qualifications & background I have a Cert Ed awarded by the University of London in 1970. This was the QTS qualification awarded prior to the BEd. I also have an MEd awarded by the University of Plymouth in 2001. I have worked at the University of Plymouth as a Programme Director since 1992. I have been a full-time Senior Lecturer since 1995. Prior to that time I worked as Head of English at Wynstones Rudolf Steiner School where I was also a Class teacher. I taught at Wynstones School between 1973 and 1995. My earlier teaching career was as a primary Class Teacher at Thames View Primary in Barking, Essex where I also had responsibility for Remedial Education within the school. Publications Over recent years, my publications have been limited to papers completed as part of my MED and others delivered in research conferences. I presented a paper at the York University BERA Conference on 'Behaviour in Steiner Waldorf Early Years Settings'; I also presented a paper at the Roehampton CEDARR Conference on Education Spirituality entitled, 'Steiner Education: Has it moved on? My Masters Dissertation was entitled, 'The Evolution of Steiner education in South Africa; a critical evaluation' I am currently working on a paper for the Journal of Beliefs and Values entitled, 'Talking about Steiner'; I am also working with Trevor Mepham on a second paper about the development of the European Masters Programme in Steiner Waldorf Education. |
