Teaching interests
Teaching map interpretation, mapping techniques and field mapping/navigation. As the Digimap site rep I promote the use of digital mapping techniques to make best use of the huge volume of Geospatial data becoming available

I also encourage students to take a wider interest in maps and mapping. Scientists often regard maps as ways of displaying spatial data, but disregard the aesthetics and the function of maps as ways of communicating ideas and messages.
