Role
 I manage the Meteorological equipment situated in the Fitzroy building and installed on the roof of Fitzroy. I am the boat scheduling manager for the Research Vessel Falcon Spirit. This role involves booking taught class sessions and project work time on Falcon Spirit for students and also for research activities.
I am at present carrying out duties associated with the role of a technical manager looking after six technical staff working in the marine sciences.

I also maintain and run the automatic weather station situated on the roof of the Fitzroy building. The data goes out live on the website plymouth.ac.uk/metnet. Last year we had approximately 30,000 hits on the live data page, from this page there are links to courses with a meterological content.

Teaching interests

The provision and use of weather satellites. Also responsible for maintaining the University's Automatic Weather Station and weather data archive.
