Heidi Morstang![]() Heidi Morstang
Role Lecturer in photography
Her work deals with perceptions of transitional spaces, crossing boundaries within the land and ‘in-between' states of being. She often refers to literature for further investigation into landscapes and their boundaries. Her work is rooted in the physical, and she is especially interested in the social, cultural, mythological and archaeological stories and histories embedded in landscapes, and the use of images to explore and gain insight to them and the often subtle relationships between them. The fascination does not lie within departures and arrivals; it is rather the events in change, movement and ethereal moments. Exploring the relationship between the still and moving image is a significant aspect of these recurring themes.
