Teaching interests
2009 - 2011 Demonstrator on practicals and computer workshops for 2nd year undergraduate students in support of the coursework "Geostrophic currents in the open sea" for the module EOE2303 "The Global Ocean" at University of Plymouth, UK (demonstrating and marking).

2011 Demonstrator and instructor for field work R/V “Falcon Spirit” for 2nd year undergraduate students at University of Plymouth, UK.

Research interests

  • Currently I use numerical models to investigate the dynamics of dense water cascades and gravity currents in a rotating framework. My emphasis is on frictional boundary layer processes to further investigate shelf-deep sea exchanges in the Arctic Ocean.
  • Previously I was working on the long-term variability of shelf-deep sea exchange on the North-Western Black Sea shelf.
