Biography

Biography

As a member of the Research Strategy and Governance Team within Research & Innovation, I collaborate with colleagues across the University to shape and implement systems and services that underpin our research strategy.
My role involves managing the University's research information system, Symplectic Elements. I oversee data integration, validation, and availability, in addition to coordinating the deployment of system upgrades and new features. I work closely with institutional data owners to maintain data quality and security.
I provide support and guidance to senior managers, researchers, and colleagues, facilitating effective utilisation of research information and data. Alongside colleagues in Research Strategy and Governance, I gather and analyse data, generating metrics and reports that fulfil both internal information needs and external reporting obligations. This includes the comprehensive collection, validation, and analysis of data related to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission.
