Role Qualifications & background MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, awarded from the University of Manchester BA French and Russian (awarded from the University of Surrey) Postgraduate Certificate in Education (post-compulsory education and training) awarded from the University of Plymouth Postgraduate Diploma in Translation and Business Studies (French) awarded from the University of the South Bank. Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (TEFLA), RSA/UCLES International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Examiner Certification (University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations) Before accepting her current position at the University of Plymouth, Diana held the post of Assistant Director of Studies at a British Council accredited English Language School. Prior to that, she was teaching English for Academic Purposes at Moscow State University for three years. During the same period, she was also responsible for the monitoring and support of the British Council's programme of English Language Projects in Central and Eastern Europe including teacher training. In addition to her experience of working with the Council in Russia, Diana has taught and managed English Language courses in Poland, Germany and France. |
