Role
50% in School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences (SoGEES) where I am responsible for teaching glacial environments (GGP 2114), advising on dissertations in this area and supporting fieldwork in Ireland and Iceland.
50% in the Teaching and Learning Directorate where I lead on the Plymouth Award scheme (which recognises extra-curricular achievements), the development of the University Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR), Learning Through Volunteering and am involved in the further development of institution-wide learning initiatives. 

Qualifications & background

BA (hons) Geography (with Geology) Kings College, University of London. 1972.

PhD University of Abedeen, 1979. Glacial sediments and landforms associated with surging glaciers in Iceland and Spitsbergen.

Institute of Learning and Teaching in HE, Admitted 2001.

Promoted to University Teaching Fellow and Principal Lecturer 2002.
