Scheme lead for MSc Advanced Professional Practice (Health and Social Care professions)

Qualifications

Trained at Bath School of Physiotherapy qualifying in 1994. Worked as a Junior Physiotherapist in Plymouth in a wide variety of rotations before developing an interest in the musculoskeletal field. Senior II rotations in Sheffield and Exeter, working in Outpatients, Trauma, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Hydrotherapy. My most recent post was as a Senior 1 physiotherapist working in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

Teaching interests

Currently teaching undergraduate level in the Physiotherapy team mainly in health behaviour change, cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal practice. At postgraduate level I am module lead for the long term conditions and innovation modules. My Main topics of interest are Blue Health, Hydrotherapy and Trauma.

Research interests

Have undertaken research in hydrotherapy and been awarded a teaching fellowship to investigate student experiences of problem based learning.

Previously have undertaken a small qualitative research project exploring people's experiences of Eau Chi. have just begun my PhD focused on surf therapy and stand up paddleboarding.
