Biography

Biography

Benson is a registered Occupational Therapist in some countries (UK, HK, AU & NZ). His PhD study focused on Virtual Reality Technology Intervention for Reducing the Risk of Falls among Older Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairments. He is devoted and passionate about the new caring services in eldercare, taking the Eden Alternative (Dr. Bill Thomas) as a new initiative in Eldercare culture model into Hong Kong. Over 25 years of working experiences, he is interested in eldercare management and community-based rehabilitation for people living with disability and dementia. He has gained extensive learning experiences in Australia, Japan and Singapore particularly in eldercare, empowerful model for people with chronic illness and innovative health care technology. He became the first Eden Associate in Hong Kong and he is supporting care culture education within Hong Kong and surrounding countries. He is considered one of the Eden Asia regional educators and has been supporting and learning the Eden curricula, to take this into Hong Kong and Macau.

Qualifications

He graduated as an Occupational Therapist from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 1992.He finished his Bachelor degree of Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University and Master degree in Guidance and Counselling from Durham University.
He gained his Doctor of Philosophy at University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2024.
