Role
I am  a lecturer based in Truro and teach on a variety of modules at all levels. Having just completed several years as CFP Pathway lead for the Dip HE Nursing programme, I am module leader for the NUR130 Professional Issues module on that programme and am also module leader for  HEAA201- a year 2 Research module for the Adult Nursing and Mental Health degree programmes. My teaching portfolio includes work at degree and masters levels, mainly in areas of research, law and ethics.  

Qualifications & background
Professional Qualifications: RN: RCNT: (I also qualified as a midwife but am no longer on the register)
Academic Qualifications: MSc (Nursing) (King's College London); BA (Hons) 1st class (Open University); PGCEA

My nursing background was in medical and elder care nursing. I have been in nursing education since 1983 - first as a clincal teacher, and then as a lecturer.

My Masters dissertation used a case study approach and examined discharge of older adults from hospital.
