Atul MishraAtul Mishra
Role Dr. Mishra is the module leader of the undergraduate module on International business. In addition, he leads the corporate strategy element of an undergraduate module on business analysis. He contributes to the MBA programme in the module on Enterprise in the Global Context where he focuses on global supply chain management. Qualifications & background Dr.Mishra's basic training is in Economics, having done his BA (Hons.)Economics from University of Delhi and MA Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His PhD thesis, submitted to the University of Reading, Department of Economics, was on "Start-up and survival of rural non-farm activities" which was a work based on primary survey done in villages in rural Bihar (India) Professional membership Member, Development Studies Association Member, International Council for Small Business Life member, Indian Council of Labour Economics Teaching interests Teaching interests: International Business, Corporate Strategy Global Supply Chain Management Economics: Microeconomics, Development Economics Research interests Dr. Mishra's main research iterests include small business development, particularly in the rural context. His other interests are in microfinance and more generally in development economics.His current interest also includes outsourcing in the service sector, particularly to developing countries like India.
