The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practitioner (Community Emergency Health course is for those who want to become paramedics or paramedic practitioners and for those who have a role in assisting a member of the public in emergency health matters. Teaching interests
In relation to emerency care my teaching interests are many and various. I have a special interest in Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) as a form of assessment. Through an Enterprise Fellowship Award I gained the opportunity to develop this interest further by introducing standardisation of practice within the Faculty.
I am currently a project lead for OSCE component of the CEPPL project. In 2005 I won the University of Plymouth Enterprise Award for the OSCE work undertaken.
I continue to take a keen interest in many aspects of emergency care / unscheduled care developments and take an interest in developing education and skills that will take practice forward

Seconded to the Centre of Excellence (CEPPL) one day a week and currently am a project lead for matters related to Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE). This has included developing a range of resources that help students and academics to increase their skills and knowledge with OSCE's and clinical examination. We are currently undertaking a literature review of OSCE.
