Role
I am a Lecturer in Midwifery with the Faculty of Health. I am a designated Supervisor of Midwives and a manual handling trainer. I am a link lecturer for the Cornwall Maternity Services. 

Qualifications & background
I am a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. My other qualifications include:
MSc Health Care (Professional Education), BSc (Hons) Midwifery, ENB Short Intensive Care Course. 

Professional membership
RN and RM with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Designated Supervisor of Midwives 


Teaching interests
I am particularly interested in all aspects of intrapartum and high risk midwifery care. 


Research interests
I registered for a  PhD exploring maternity high dependency care in October 2008.
