The Waldorf approach aims to integrate academic, practical and artistic work, viewing the child as a developing spiritual individual. Teachers in Steiner-Waldorf schools view education as an art in which children's hearts and hands are educated as well as their minds. This research network aims to integrate research work on Steiner Waldorf Education undertaken by tutors working at the Faculty of Education with the newly developing Waldorf Research Educators Network (WREN). WREN (UK) is a research association involving:
WREN (UK)'s primary aim is to identify themes and work collectively towards realising research bids linked to Steiner Waldorf Education; it is also committed to publishing articles on Steiner Education in peer-refereed journals and participation in national and international research conferences.
