Members of the Marine Biology and Ecology Research Centre address a broad range of research questions, from effects of environmental stress on microbes and developing embryos to the management of large scale impacts such as global climate change. Our research has a marine biological focus but also draws on ideas and theories from other realms. We also have excellent links with external organisations, both regionally (i.e. within the Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership), and via numerous international collaborations. We also encourage active participation of students on our highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in our research.

More detail of our research activities can be found under the sections of this site dedicated to our separate research themes.
