An overview of the Staff Portal
The Staff Portal contains a number of different information sections. These are:
University informationThis section gives access to University wide Community information.
Your CommunitiesThis section displays your Community information for your job and for any Communities your have subscribed to. There is also a link to a page which displays all the Communities in the University. There are two communities of special interest to UPC staff:
Search the IntranetThis allows you to search for people and documents on the Staff Portal.
There will also be a Latest News section that will be used to display the latest news from around the University.
Directory informationThis section allows you to update/check and display your Personal details eg name, title etc.
You can also update your Personal Professional Pages. This enables staff to enter information about their research areas,
professional membership, teaching interests, journals published etc.
There is a Staff Portal toolbar across the top that allows you to access the following tools and information:
