You will have graduated within the last 3 years or are about to graduate in 2010 with a BSc / BA (Hons) degree in either Food Science, Food Technology, Food Nutrition, Biological Science, Hospitality Management or similar. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety, having previously worked in a food manufacturing, food retail or hospitality management environment.

Are you a graduate in a Social Science discipline with expert knowledge of using the Internet for survey designs to support mental health clients and professionals? Would you like to turn this into a career opportunity?
You will have graduated within the last 3 years or are about to graduate in 2010 with a good BSc (Hons) degree in a Social Science discipline i.e. Psychology / Occupational Psychology, Social Behavioural Science, Research Methods, Health Sciences, Social Work or similar. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated individual with good research skills and an excellent understanding of how to get the best out of the Internet. Must have excellent IT skills with an understanding of e-learning and e-health practices ideally in a NHS setting.

Please note: The selection process will be as follows:

1. Upon review of all applications, up to 10 candidates will be invited to take part in an exchange of a 2-3 emails (a type of email 'interview') led by Professor Ray Jones and copied to Dr Graham Williamson and Tobit Emmens (the project leaders), over Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th September. You will not have to 'be online' at any specific time but during those two days you will at some point need to read your emails and respond 2-3 times.

2. Based on a review of the email exchange, a shortlist of up to 4 candidates will be invited by email on Tuesday 14th (evening) to attend face to face interviews at The Devon Partnership Trust (Wonford House) on Thursday 16th September (late morning). This will be a 'standard' interview (no presentations or other activity will be expected)."


'Aquaculture Research Scientist'

Are you a graduate with an interest in fish nutrition and biochemistry? Would you like to turn this into a career opportunity?
We are looking to appoint a well organised, highly motivated individual to take the lead role in evaluating the commercial potential of a novel protein co-product that will result in a new low cost alternative feed for aquaculture.
You will have graduated within the last 3 years or are about to graduate in 2010 with a good BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Biosciences (Aquaculture), Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry or similar related discipline.The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity of working within aquaculture or a fish farming environment, with a good understanding of Applied Fish Nutrition, Sustainable Aquaculture Systems and Quality Management Systems and possess a Home Office Personal Licence (Animals Scientific Procedures Act 1986) or an expectation to work towards this status.
