In this context we offer an annual university-wide induction event which all new external examiners are strongly encouraged to attend. The next of these events will be held in Plymouth on 16 May 2011. The programme for the day will include briefing on the institutional context and the role of the external examiner at the University of Plymouth, an input from an experienced external examiner, a question and answer session and the opportunity for externals to meet with representatives from programme/subject areas. Further information about the conference will be sent to you nearer the time but, in the meantime, please could you reserve this date in your diary. The proceedings of the 2010 conference were televised - follow the link to view the programme and presentations. For further information please contact Sue Gregory, Head of Teaching Quality Information, Quality Support. |
