Independenta Romaniei (The War of Independence) (1912)

As part of the Peninsula Arts Romanian Festival we are proud to present Romania’s first ever feature film within the Re-Scoring the Silent series. Astonishingly ambitious for a film nearly 100 years old, it tells the story of Romania’s War of Independence (1877-78). This film is accompanied by live music from pianist Lola Perrin.
