What is an open day?

The University organises a number of events each year, offering you get the chance to find out more about the University, its campus, facilities and study opportunities.

Undergraduate open day

Every year, around 7,000 students bring their family and friends onto campus for our University open days . Not only is it an opportunity to get first-hand experience of life at Plymouth, but you can also meet other students who are considering Plymouth University as their choice of university. You will be able to:

  • get information about available courses, facilities, welfare and support services
  • chat to current students and academic staff
  • take a tour of the city, campus and look at student accommodation
  • listen to presentations on finance, student life, the UCAS process and your personal statement
  • visit our diving and marine centre, watersports centre and Life Centre 

Postgraduate and Professional Open Evening

Do you have a desire to change your career or keep ahead of your competitors? Embarking on a postgraduate degree, or considering continuing professional development may be an option for you. Why not come along and visit us at our Postgraduate and Professional Open Evening .

Take the opportunity to have your questions answered or find out more about your subject of interest.

Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine & Dentistry open days

There will be limited information provided for the Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry at the undergraduate open day. The Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry also have their own open days. Visit their website for more details.

Truro Information Days

The Health and Social Work information days will give you the chance to find out more information about the courses and opportunities offered in Cornwall, including BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and BA (Hons) Social Work. The day will give you the opportunity to gather more information about the facilities and resources available to you at the Knowledge Spa, Cornwall College and at the main Plymouth University campus. Partner College open days

There will be limited information provided for the University of Plymouth Partner Colleges at the undergraduate open day. The Partner Colleges also have their own open days. Visit their websites for more details.

Applicant Days

Applicant Days are subject-specific days, designed for those applicants who have received an offer to study with Plymouth University. They offer you the opportunity to discover your chosen course in more details, and are an essential step on your applicant journey.
