Jobs with Plymouth University

HELLO FROM THE ENTERPRISE UNIVERSITY
Bags of opportunities with Plymouth University

A big hello from us at the enterprise university. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking, outward-looking and genuinely rewarding place to work. Whatever job you do here – whether you are an academic, a manager or in a support role – you will go home each day knowing you have made a positive impact on our students and our community. Helping us to transform lives through education, world-class research and innovation on a global stage.

Join us and you will become part of a team dedicated to delivering a brilliant student experience. You will share in our reputation for excellence in teaching, learning and world-class research. In short, you will have an integral role in delivering the sort of ideas, thinking and action that define us as the leading enterprise university in the country.

What does it mean to be an enterprise university?

Being an enterprise university is about using our intellectual capital to deliver outstanding economic, social and cultural benefits; by making sure innovation and creativity, together with responsible business practice, underpin everything we do.

As part of our team, in whatever role you can be an Enterprise Enabler. Our network of Enterprise Enablers has achieved amazing things – from organising events that bring our diverse staff and students together, to building links with universities abroad – and they always have more proposals in the pipeline. In effect, our Enterprise Enablers run a creative forum where the seeds of ideas can grow. As Janie Paice, one of our Enterprise Enablers says:

“It is a mindset and an attitude: being positive and being open to ideas. Being an Enterprise Enabler is also about free-range networking, freedom and space to think outside what you normally do. It is about using the skills of people around you in a very informal structure.”
