Plymouth University currently offers student exchange opportunities with partner universities in Europe and North America through Erasmus and ISEP respectively. Please be aware that eligibility criteria does apply for placements and exchanges - to find out whether you may meet this criteria, please contact the international office.

Our European exchange schemes are offered with the support of the Commission of the European Community within the Framework of the Erasmus Action in the Life Long Learning Programme. If you are a Socrates or Erasmus student, please contact the Socrates Coordinator in your institution or email socrates@plymouth.ac.uk for guidance on how to apply.

Plymouth University offers many exchange links worldwide, either through organisations or directly with specific institutions, and either across many subject areas or individual courses. General exchanges
International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP) – mainly USA International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP) is a network of HEIs with over 300 members worldwide, that provides student study exchange. Plymouth University has been a member of ISEP since 1984 and eligible students can exchange from virtually any subject area to one of the universities in the USA that are ISEP members. Erasmus Plymouth University offers exchanges in Europe though Erasmus. More information can be found on our exchange opportunities web pages, and on the Erasmus website.

Incoming students

Plymouth University is a recognised institution in the ERASMUS programme, and has links with universities across Europe. We also send and receive students on exchange with North American universities through the ISEP programme. Outgoing students

Experiencing life in another country can be very rewarding, and taking part in an exchange programme is a great way to live in another country whilst you are studying. It provides an opportunity to see your academic subject from another perspective, as well as meeting different people and experiencing new things.
