Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)CPD at the University of Plymouth

The University of Plymouth provides exciting opportunities for personal, professional and business development. Our reputation for innovative course design and delivery underpins a range of programmes designed to be appropriate, effective and relevant. CPD opportunities at the University of Plymouth are designed to meet the needs of individuals working in business and industry, the public sector and their community, and can be undertaken at the University, in the workplace or at another more suitable location. As a result we deliver CPD locally, nationally and internationally. There are real benefits to be gained from pursuing CPD as an individual, an employer or a member of university staff

Our CPD degree - Bachelor's in Professional Development - coming soon

The Bachelor's in Professional Development provides a framework in which CPD is structured as modules. Unlike individual short courses, modules are credit-rated in a way that contributes towards a Bachelor's degree which can be a BSc or BA depending on the discipline areas of the modules passed.  Another feature of this degree is that the content is largely detemrined by the needs of the learner.  We are happy to discuss developing bespoke modules and accrediting in-house CPD training that could contribute towards the degree. The award can be taken in a staged manner, with numerous stepping-on and stepping-off points. We are also hapy to discuss flexible modes of delivery that best suit employer and employee needs. For further information please email cpd@plymouth.ac.uk marked 'FAO Stephen Gomez'.
