What is clearing?
Welcome to the University of Plymouth clearing, confirmation and course vacancies web pages. We'll help you find clearing course vacancies you might be interested in and guide you through the new electronic clearing process.
Clearing is for you if you applied via UCAS and ...
- You were unsuccessful with your original choices
- You turned down all the offers from your original choices
- You failed to meet the conditions of accepted offers
or
- You applied after 30 June (12 June for Route B courses)
What UCAS applicants should do now ...
- Spend a little time thinking about what you want to study and where
- Check to see if you are eligible for clearing by logging in to your application on UCAS Track
- Find out as much as you can about the institution(s) and course(s) you are interested in.
- Contact your shortlist of institutions to find out more about the course and if you meet the entry requirements. We recommend you contact the University of Plymouth on the details below. We will be able to tell you if there are vacancies and if you meet the course entry requirements. Our vacancies are updated continually over the clearing period.
- When you contact us, please try and have to hand:
- Your results
- The course you want to study
- Your UCAS Personal ID number if you have previously applied
- If you are eligible, we will make you an offer on the phone/via email
- When you are satisfied that you have chosen a course/institution for you, you must log in to UCAS Track and enter the details of the course and institution using the ‘Add Clearing Choice’ button
- If you don’t have access to your UCAS account, you can ‘phone UCAS Customer Services on 0871 468 0468
- You can only enter details for one choice. Only enter a Clearing choice if you want to accept the course we offer you
- Only once you have made your application, can we confirm your place
- Once we have accepted you, UCAS will send you your confirmation letter, and we will send you your induction pack
- We recommend that you try and visit us and use our applicant portal to find out more.
