Our website is designed to be accessible in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) (DDA) and following the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Checkpoints for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The framework for the site has been validated as HTML4.01 Strict by the W3C WAI validator service. Assistive technologies have been designed to assist people with disabilities to carry out their daily activities. Our site is accessible to common software-based technologies including screen readers, screen magnifiers and speech synthesisers. We will provide a graphic free version of our website which is HTML 3 compatible, and can be viewed properly by any browser capable of displaying tables. Some of our pages from legacy sites or those developed and maintained by third parties might not currently conform to the above standards. However, we are auditing our site and encouraging contributors across the University to update their pages. |
